The first bit of sunshine for 2012 – so it was a walk on the beach with the my husband and the dog. At the mouth of the Whaingaroa Harbour there is a rock that appears periodically when the sea washes the sand away. When Britt was a toddler we used to come swim here at Elephant Rock. Now she is 15 and it is back again like it was then. The raw beauty and force of nature leaves me spellbound and in awe.
You just have to love where you live … … and we do … …

Happy Easter everyone. We spent our Easter swimming at Goat Island – it’s a marine reserve north of Auckland and was amazing. Unfortunately someone left the underwater camera in the car, but there are a few goodies from the beach. We all had an amazing day, but I think we caught the warm weather just in time because it is freezing here now! Thanks Mum, Trisha, Luki, Daniel, Britty and Lexi for being such willing and amazing models (gotta love your family huh?).

New Plymouth was the destination. Megan and Anthony were the bride and groom. What a beautiful wedding. What a beautiful day!
Aroha nui to you both for a lifetime of kisses and treasured memories …

Went on a huge adventure with school the other day – all the way up to the Te Uku Wind farm.
There are 28 turbines up here and the view is amazing. All the way from Kawhia and Aotea Harbor – through to Karioi, Whaingaroa, Te Uku and Waitetuna.
AMAZING!

Saturday 23 October 2010. The Raglan Off Road Challenge was amazing. Great weather and an awesome course with views to die for. Kayak, run and bike.
Here are some of the pics from the day. If there are any photographs you like just contact me about purchasing them. Also contact me if there is anything you think I might have captured on film that aren’t on here. Keep posted as I will add more photos over the next week or so. Also check out my Facebook page. Cheers
Linda

Nothing quite like a day fishing at the bar (even if nothing was caught)

The storm that was churning 1000km South West off New Zealand really did deliver the winds and swell they promised. The ocean was amazing and there were times just standing up was a mission …

A few of more more recent favorites taken out and about in Raglan …

Looking across Whaingaroa Harbor from the Wharf

On the wharf looking across to Lorenzen Bay

Raglan Wharf and one of the best fish and chip shops in town … … … All this sadly burnt to the ground on Tuesday morning, 13 April 2010. So much loss, buildings, personal treasures, jobs and a piece of Raglan history.

It’s been a beautiful weekend and this evening was pure bliss - so off we went to the end of the road at the edge of Lorenzen Bay, glass of wine in hand, good friends and kids riding around on their bikes – all that was missing was the fish and chips!
This is the life – our own little Eden in NZ … … …

I have just been in the garden, with the sun setting, the light was soft and it is the best time to look at all the plants that just grow in there (because anyone who knows me knows that I am no gardener!)
Here is what I found … … …
