Nothing quite like a day fishing at the bar (even if nothing was caught)

Here are some amazing photographs from my 9 year old nephew Finn Geraets. He lives up in the big city of Auckland. He and his Dad spend a lot of time in and around the gardens and parks.
When Finn isn’t busy playing rugby or skateboarding he manages to catch these beautiful images.
Keep an eye out for more of Finn’s pictures as he sends them through. Enjoy … …

I have just been in the garden, with the sun setting, the light was soft and it is the best time to look at all the plants that just grow in there (because anyone who knows me knows that I am no gardener!)

Recently it was my 40th birthday and a group of awesome friends all got together and treated me and my husband to a night out in a luxury 5 Star lodge (Waoku Lodge in Whale Bay, Raglan) It was the most luxuriously delightful place to stay. The hosts were amazing, the food was divine, the view was great and the decor was beautiful. Check this out …

The lawn is covered with daisies and the limes are falling off the tree.

Daisies ...

... limes ...

... and more daisies
Then there’s all the other flowers bursting out in my garden enjoying the sun shining down and the fact that it is getting warmer

Almost feels tropical

A splash of colour in the old wine barrel

Head down ... petals up
Even the bees were busy today …

… apparently the rain is on its way but hey, it’s spring after all!
Enjoy the sun while it’s shining
